Our Story :)

In the winter of 2023, Gnarly Nogginz started as a light-hearted joke.

On a ski trip to Breckenridge, CO, one of our friends put an early prototype on his helmet while riding. Just a goofy idea to stir up a few laughs with the crew.

But then something unexpected happened… people noticed.

EVERY kid that caught a glimpse of the goofiness loved it. Adults who normally keep a straight face in the lift line were commenting and saying things like, “Okay… that’s actually awesome,” and “I’ve never seen anything like that.”

It felt like we’d accidentally tapped into a new kind of fun – a different, slightly more “obnoxiously comical” energy that the usual plain-Jane and carefully color-coordinated gear just don’t bring.

That’s when the idea behind Gnarly Nogginz was born. And after a couple years of product development, we were ready to bring smiles and laughter to anyone who wears or sees our product.

Gnarly Nogz gives riders a simple way to make the hobby feel more playful, more welcoming, and a little more fun. Not everyone wants to be the best rider on the hill. But everyone can appreciate a good laugh and a little bit of ridiculousness.

It’s about creating more of those memorable moments of laughter in a place we already love. Whether you’re the one rocking a duck or frog on your helmet, or you’re just the person in line behind them grinning at the sight, you’re part of the “why” behind our vision.

We’re here for the riders who appreciate a good carve and a good laugh. The parents who want to make their kids’ ski days even more fun. The crews who treat the mountain like their playground, not a runway.
